Your Probability Potential
Mar 25, 2026First, a shout out to my wife on her birthday! Happy “New Year,” Shannon!
Okay, let’s dive in! If I said that I ate a salad once, that I flossed my teeth once, and that I even went to the gym once, you might cheer me on. If I then said that I’m super disappointed that I didn’t get immediate health, great breath, and amazing strength, you’d look at me funny.
Doing something once isn’t a reliable predictor of outcomes in the same way that wishing isn’t a plan. “I want to be wealthy” is a lovely sentiment. It just doesn’t point you in the direction of your desire. In my recent blogs, I’ve talked a lot about belief and consistent action. Combining these makes all the difference in your outcomes.
Belief in yourself PLUS consistent action.
Belief. Then, consistent action.
Consistent. Action.
It isn’t likely that you’d do something once and have it immediately turn into the outcome you desire. Wishing for something isn’t the same as embodying the identity of the person who has or is that thing.
The truth, and it’s a harsh truth, is that even when you do something consistently, you might end up with a result you don’t want. You might get rejected. You might get hit by a car. You might get bitten by a rabid possum. (Trivia note: possums are almost entirely immune from rabies due to their low body temperature.) So, you might encounter a lot of things. One setback is an outlier. Don’t let it define you. Stay focused and take your best next step toward your Next Big Next.
This is about improving your odds of creating the life you truly want by starting with the belief that you can become a person who lives in that way, then by taking consistent action in the direction of that outcome.
By staying in your new belief and by taking consistent action towards the goal you envision, you increase the probability that those outcomes become your reality.
That is known as the stochastic mirror.
Basically, the stochastic mirror is a fancy term for noting that your outcomes are simply a reflection of the probabilities in place around you. Your outcomes are not directly causal. The more you can eliminate the probability of something you don’t want, and the more focused you are in doing the activities aligned with the things you DO want, the greater the probability that you’ll get the outcome you’re after.
By staying focused on what you desire, and by stepping into the identity of the person who has those things and lives that way, you’ll move closer to them. And they’ll move closer to you. By holding a belief and reinforcing it with consistent action, you are training your subconscious and increasing the probability of getting the outcomes you want.
As a person who studies, reads, lifts people around you, you’re increasing your probability of success. Again, this all begins with getting clear about what you desire, declaring it, believing that you’re worthy of attaining it, and by taking consistent action to become a person who has that success.
You know that your Next Big Next is right in front of you and you are alert to opportunities to step into. Your environment, the stochastic mirror, reflects the multiple probabilities you’re putting in place to create a powerfully positive outcome for yourself.
Stay in belief. Maintain the focus of your actions to move toward your desires. Stay intentional as you boost the probability of your successful outcome.
That is how you’ll keep making your magic! See you here next week!
