Oh… My…. Goodness!!! 

It’s my personal New Year again! Yep, my birthday is in a few days. It’s a big deal for me. Not because there are celebrations, and I don’t really even gravitate toward sweets anymore, so cake is a take-it-or-leave-it kind of thing for me. It’s that my birthday represents my personal New Year.

My VIP clients know that I celebrate them and encourage them to take inventory of their past year while setting strategic personal and professional goals for themselves for the year ahead. 

It’s important not to make “resolutions.” I don’t actually believe in New Year’s Resolutions. “This year, I resolve to xyz.” And then, a few weeks later, the resolve fizzles. 

Nope. Focus on what outcomes you want. The path to those outcomes will become evident. Oh, and you have to really want them. I focus on what I want to do, what I want to have, and who I want to become. 

My desires then get translated as goals and personal OKRs (Outcomes and Key Results) for myself. 

From health to relationships to finances to philanthropy and some fun adventures thrown into the mix, my year ahead is going to be pretty awesome. I have already claimed that. 

That’s not a resolution. It’s a faith in knowing that I’m on track. 

Now, opportunity for fulfilling my desires finds me. I sort out anything that’s not “In.” 

You can do that too. You can start with me this week. Let’s create a New Year for you, too. What’s IN and what’s OUT? What will you no longer tolerate or be available for? And, more important, what will you say YES to for the sake of fulfilling your desires?

How will you fill the next 525,600 minutes? Each moment is precious. Make them count!
